It Happened
A girl named Amber rode the bus. I have tried to get her to ride for over 3 years. She rode a VBS with me back when I first started. Some girls from Workman Street apartments had her crying. She didn’t let me handle it…she called her mom on her cell phone. When I got to the back of the bus to fix this, an angry mom wanted to know where she could pick her daughter up right then. I told her she would have to wait 15 minutes. I would be at a church to unload. The mother hung up on me. On the way to church, I thought and prayed God I don’t want to lose Amber. Her mom probably won’t let her ride again. I needed God to fix this. This girl, approximately 12 years old, grand dad helps support the ministry. When we arrived at the church, I told the bus of 64 kids and adults my heart in this situation. As we exited the bus, Amber said that her aunt and uncle were sitting in the car beside the bus. I walked over to speak. He smiled and told me that when he realized it was me he called Amber’s mom to let her know it was alright, that Mr. Ronnie would take care of it. Not only was she staying at church…She was allowed to ride late if she wanted to. Ed from City Body Shop told me to come by the shop the next day and see him. Ed gave me a new 110 Four Wheeler to raise money for the ministry. It never has been ridden.
I am going to sell the four wheeler at auction over my phone. These are the details. The bid starts January 24 at 2pm. Bidding will end on Valentine’s Day. There will be businesses with info hanging, telling where the bid is or call me to find out. There will be donation jugs in the locations that will allow it. Richard Suttle is close to getting his license and the proceeds will put another bus on the road. The poster in the stores will show the bid changes that will be dated and the time. Help support this effort. Giving God all the glory. From a little girl I didn’t want to loose off the bus to a rider that won’t miss to a four wheeler giveaway; just another day following Jesus. Call in your Bid at 803-325-5507 (Mr. Ronnie).
Calling 911…Calling Jesus
On December 30th, we were dropping off children at Workman Street when we came up on all kinds of Emergency personnel at the apartments. I prayed with a lady as they tried to revive her husband that had a heart attack. The next day I went back there and talked to the man’s son. His name was James. I told him I was not there by accident. I said what if it had been you in the back of the ambulance. Would you have been ready to meet Jesus? This 22 year old said no. We sat down in the van I was driving, went thru the plan of salvation and James accepted Jesus into his heart. James went to church with me both services last Sunday. I remember saying in one of our newsletters that I couldn’t wait for the first person to get saved in this van that was donated to the ministry. To God be the Glory.
The Hand of God…
The doctors say that this lady will be losing the ends of her fingers and both of her feet up to between her ankle and knee. I took the academy school kids and later the bus kids by to see this precious lady. God is performing a miracle in this lady’s life. Please pray for Cynthia. Please pray for the hand of God to continue touching her body. More details next month.
The Missing Tumor…??
One of our bus kids from York had all of us praying for her dad. Gene had a tumor located on one of the lower disks in his back. He told me that the doctor was going to remove the disk, work on it and put it back. Never heard of it but medical science has come a long way. When the doctors talked to the family after the surgery, he was quite baffled. The doctor opened Gene’s back to find nothing to fix. Gene’s prayers and all that had been asked to pray had been answered. Telling what God’s doing. Giving God the Glory.
What, another Bus…
A church in Charlotte called while I was out on the route last Sunday to let me know that the church voted to give Kids for Jesus ministry their bus. They were no longer running it. This church donated a nice 1988 Chevy bus to us. I can’t wait for the first one to get saved off this bus. Richard has already claimed this one. This bus will be running at Temple Baptist Church where we start Children’s church January 18, 2009. Everything we have belongs to Jesus. We will load this bus for his Glory.
