Crazy Summer…
With 3 Vacation Bible Schools to go…I’ve got to say it has been different this summer. The bad stuff…From sick children…dads in jail…moms out of work…people needing furniture…children being out of town and calling me with all kinds of problems…Deaths in families…weddings to perform…churches borrowing the tent and us setting it up…Field trips for a lot of different churches that don’t have a way to transport large numbers of children…I have to say with Richard and Jennifer on board it has been a lot easier. It’s quite a blessing to see one of the busses going in another direction while I am busy with a completely different project. Richard says pour it on. I’m here for Kids for Jesus Ministry. We have 3 more weeks of crazy then everything goes back to a regular run for this ministry. I will have quite a big record book on children when I get this completed. Summer time gets so busy…but Jesus has led every step of the way. Praising God for the teachings this summer. Please pray for us as we lay out ways to bring in a lot more numbers of children. Current…
- VBS Nazarene Church in Clover, SC
- Planning and building the bus ministry at Temple Baptist. Working with leadership to see a children’s department 2nd to none.
- Bus repairs that are needed to gear up for the months ahead when we get back on regular schedule.
- Heading up meetings to be ready for the numbers at Lakewood. We will be running 2 busses on Sunday nights starting in three weeks.
- Working harder to build Tuesday nights at Faith Christian Ministries.
- Preparing for the Academy School to start back next month. I hold chapel with the children on Wednesday mornings.
- Figuring out how to handle the numbers on Wednesday nights at Lakewood.
Help me pray for workers as we go forward in the mission field God has laid before us.

I Need You…
On July 1, 2009, I packed up a picnic. Brenda and I got in the dune buggy. We went cruising looking for a place to spend the day alone. It was our anniversary. This lady has put up with me for 33 years. We stopped at Landsford Canal below Rock Hill. As we sat and talked, I had some special things that I had to share with her. For almost seven years of Kids for Jesus Ministry, my wife has helped me with what is needed to run the ministry. But a lot of times we would pass in the hallway or on the road as we went in two different directions. I told Brenda that God was speaking to my heart that she needs to be with me more in this ministry. Brenda said I thought you just wanted to do this ministry with other people instead of me. There always seemed to be people with me as I did the work of the ministry. Starting this morning July 20, 2009, my lovely wife will be working full time with Kids for Jesus Ministry. Do I see financially how this can work…no, but I didn’t see it working when I left General Tire either. I see this ministry growing beyond any measure I could have imagined. I have just enough faith to believe that God can pull this off. God don’t mean for us to worry while we do this work. Pray God’s will. I am looking forward to working with Brenda daily doing what God has called me to do. Jesus says, Follow me.
