No, not Yet.It Can't Be.Summer's Coming
We have a lot planned for summer break. A lot of churches seem to slow down in the summer months because of working so hard on programs during the school year. My numbers seem to go up during the summer. Its ok, we'll handle it. I would like to keep the children busy as I can this summer. The teens/preteens already want to do a car wash, sell doughnuts, hotdog sales or whatever to help raise some money to do some outings.
Some things are very reasonable and with the numbers we have, we have to keep costs in line. I want to use the public pools this summer. Just take small groups from different areas. If I can get enough help, that would be great. Skating trips are always fun. The kids are already howling about a fishing trip. (Mostly the girls!) Some want to go bowling. Some just want to get together and hang out. They all love camping. I'll need plenty of help. One of my workers says roughing it is staying at the Holiday Inn and the TV remote won't work. Regardless of what we do.We will have bible study while we are there. Just following Jesus and having a barrel of fun on the way. If you could spare the time, Kids for Jesus surely could use you. Come be a part!

Youth Rally Morganton.Better than Ever
We made our yearly trip to the youth rally. It's long, hard but very rewarding. Five teens/preteens gave their hearts to Jesus. On the way to my last stops in the York area, I was already tired; the kids were being extremely loud probably from the excitement of what we were doing. I thought it's surely going to be a long day.My phone rang.It was Mr. Dan from Tennessee. For the ones that wouldn't remember him, Dan was a bus driver for Kids for Jesus a few years back. Dan is now in a Christian Motor Cycle Club. The group travels to boy's homes and detention centers witnessing to kids. Dan shared a story about visiting a home in Greenville, SC. Dan was wearing a Kids for Jesus t-shirt. Three boys came up to him and told Mr. Dan that they used to ride the bus with us. Two of the boys told Dan that they had shirts like his. The boys talked about how good their lives were when they rode the bus and went to church with us. All three of the boys either got saved or rededicated their lives that day. Even 100 mile away.Dan said Mr. Ronnie, Kids for Jesus was in Greenville, SC. It's around the world and it's forever. I needed to hear that at that very moment on my way to the rally. I praise God for the power of the Holy Spirit that I walk with daily. I work for Jesus.Times running out.Pray God's will
Just Needed a Ride.
I got a call last night. A man named Shawn needed a ride to the bus station. Shawn had been staying with a lady and her mother. Shawn said he had to go. Shawn had family in Aiken, SC. The bus was pulling out at 11:30pm. As Shawn loaded his belongings in my car, a little 6 year old that rides the bus out of his home told me Shawn told her he would be back in a couple of days. Ciera smiled at me and said, "I don't think he will be back, do you?" I had prayed about God's will in this situation. This man and woman were living together. He has two children, the lady has one. Is coming back, I prayed God's will.
Special Prayer Request:
Pray about the fuel cost. Diesel fuel: 4.23 per gallon. Bus gets 8 miles to the gallon or three youngons to the gallon.
