Winding Down… Gearing Up

With summer winding down and surely it’s been great from VBS at 3 churches to a stop at Lancaster Speedway where the kids sang, to a stop at Lakewood Baptist Church to share the bus story, to a Saturday fishing trip with the kids, to the youth rally in Morganton, NC, to a carwash with the teens (not near enough sunscreen!), to water balloon battles after church, to eating ice cream, freeze pops, learning how to care, share, grow together as one extra large family. First I would like to thank the parents of these children for sharing the most precious part of your family with us…your children. Mom and Dad, we would like to invite you to get involved in this ministry. Come be a part. Second I would like to thank all that continue to pray for this ministry. Our prayers are continually being answered. Special thanks to all that support this ministry financially…We pass no offering plate. Not one time have we had to tell someone that groceries could not be provided, shoes for a child could not be bought, medicine could not be purchased, and the bus had no fuel to run on Sundays, Tuesday, Wednesday or any other function we needed to run. Not to mention breakfast for the kids on Sunday mornings that got up…dressed themselves…boarded the bus some starting at 7am. To all that support this ministry…We are all just one spoke in a wheel that just won’t stop turning…Destination…Heaven.

Now…Gearing up…

With school starting back, the kids getting back on a regular schedule the bus numbers will rise. I sure could use your help…Come tell kids that Jesus loves them…Come help feed the kids on Sunday nights at Grace Ministries, come ride the bus with me…take on a tour of duty. One month, one week a month, one time a year. I surely could use your help…Come teach a class…tell a child the story of Jesus and why he died on a cross for our sins. Then maybe…just maybe this child will go home and share the story with their parents that a good chance hadn’t heard news either…come be a part of a mission work in your community…Kids for Jesus Ministry…

Just Following Jesus,
Mr. Ronnie

Not Another One Like It…

Kids for Jesus Ministry is proud to say that the week of August 27th 2007 we will start a Christian school. The school will be at Grace Ministries Church. The first year will run following the Rock Hill School district schedule. The school will start with 12 students and will be a closed school to the public the first year. Wendy Lipe that keeps all the records, books, files, and finances for the ministry will be the administrator. Julie Boan, a teacher for Kids for Jesus Ministries and a very active member at Grace Ministries, will be a supervisor at the school. We are praying for sponsors to help support some of the Bus Kids in this program. This program will be about teaching children a Christian education while building families that love Jesus. On Fridays we will be doing local missionary work with the children. From visiting nursing homes to delivering clothing, medicine or groceries to families. Teaching the children how to share, care and be a vital part of our community. The lowest cost Christian school in our area is $3,400 per year. We can do this for $2,200 a year. Mark checks sponsor a child and every time the money reaches this amount another child’s education for a year will be honored…Goal…None left behind. Pray about giving what you can. Be a sponsor.

Heartbeat

As I drove to check on a lady that rides the bus that was very sick…This little girl rode with me that had lost her pet. I explained to her that it was not her fault that the animal’s life had ended…This child’s hurt turned from pet to issues in her life. She spoke of standing as a little girl and watching as her dad went out into eternity. She talked about the love she had for her dad. This child spoke of the night at the youth rally; how she knew she needed God and how she knows that she was saved that night. This child spoke of the love she has for her mom and her sister. She told of the decisions her mom makes sometimes and how she can’t understand. I told her as a child she is not going to understand all the time. Her mom, that loves her very much, is having to fill the shoes of mom and dad. This child with tears flowing down her cheeks said I’m scared Mr. Ronnie, My mom wont go to church, my sister don’t believe in heaven or hell, and a friend that stays with them is living a lifestyle that the bible says is wrong. The only friends I have are on the bus. Mom wants to get us a better house. I’m scared I will move away and I won’t get picked up anymore. I felt this child’s heartbeat as she shared her feelings with me. This little girl said Mr. Ronnie, I don’t want my mom, my sister and my friend to go to hell. They won’t listen to me. I try to tell them but they just won’t listen.
I explained to this bus kid how she was talking to the wrong ones. How if she talked to Jesus, he would speak in a way that they will understand. Jesus will speak to their hearts. I made a promise to this child that I would lift her family up to God every night in prayer asking God to speak to their hearts. I’m asking every one of you to pray for this little girl, her family and myself. Pray for Mr. Ronnie to have the understanding I need, the wisdom I need, the soft spirit I need, and the strength I need to continue on in the work of the Lord. Heartbeat…Heart cry… Please pray for this 9 year old and her family.
